One Love, One Song

An Evening of Ecstatic Poetry, Music and Stories of Awakening
and
A Community Potluck Gathering

WE WALK TOGETHER

WE walk hand-in-hand: wherever you are,
wherever I find myself.

WE walk heart-to-heart,
wherever the footfalls our lives take us.
WE walk body to body,
in whatever direction love moves us.

WE walk mind to mind: The One Mind,
resting within the unknowable.

WE play together within every corridor of this precious life: even when our footfalls
appear to move differently.

WE walk eye to eye perceiving the
arising of the One coming into form,
everywhere and returning to the
infinite mystery that we are,
as WE walk together. Gavin

I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU

I am tired of talking so much I cannot get it up for
drama any longer.

I am done with mediocrity and the commonplace
and nothing less than Home will do

This has been a bloody adventure and
I only have eyes for You now.

May nothing supersede this ribald devotion

And please be patient with me should
the world of fantasies swirl and
seduce this heart from time to time.

Please indulge my fallibility,
should I forage for happiness out there-
lunatic I can be, sometimes.

I used to care so much for what people thought
about me and how I looked.

Now I only have eyes for You.

I tried so hard to please everyone and
preconceive the ingredients of their happiness.

Now I only have eyes for You

My efforts to be good perfect and
homogenized were failed disasters.

Now I only have eyes for You.

I've turned a corner It's all about you now.
You are the One!

And may this trail of blood evidence
the flowering of a trustworthy heart

And within Your arms I am willing to disappoint
and distress the entire population if necessary;
and unequivocally never betray
You My Beloved ever again.

*Directions to Halawa House:

From Kapaau town, follow 270 east towards Pololu Valley. You will pass ‘Iole Road, (where the New Moon Foundation offices and the former Bond Estate Girls’ School are located), the Arakaki Store, and Kohala Middle School. Continuing along the highway through this neighborhood, you will soon reach a gulch (note the dip in the road on the map). When you come out of the gulch, you’ll see a Buddhist temple and the Rankin gallery on your right. Continue straight on 270. You will see a one lane bridge. Do not cross the bridge. Just before the bridge on the left is a sign that says HALAWA CEMETARY (it is white and black, probably 1 square foot, badly written). Turn left at the sign. At the bottom of the slope is a gate. The road veers off to  left. Follow the road. There will be a right hand turn with big boulders on the corner with another cemetery sign. Do not turn right here; continue straight. This is the old Pratt Road. It is in rough condition so drive carefully. You will see a bamboo hedge on the right and an ornate iron gate on the right. This is the driveway to Halawa House. You will be directed to park your vehicle beyond the entryway to Halawa House on the Vipassana Hawaii property next door.
